What is Lam Stock? Lam stock is the specific lumber used to make glue-lam beams and posts. Glue-lam beams and posts are stress-rated engineered wood components comprised of lam stock. Lam stock are bonded together with strong water-proof adhesives.

Traditionally Douglas Fir from the United States and Lodgepole pine made up the majority of lam stock in Japan. However, the discovery of Red Pine and White Spruce in Northern Europe and Russia changed preference of the Japanese users.
